If you have a SLR or DSLR camera and other maker/mount lens, the Kiwifotos Lens Mount Adapters allow you to use your lenses on the film/digital camera body. Sharing lenses has some distinct advantages. Certain prime lens just can't be replaced, and you save the cost of purchase on new lenses. Kiwifotos offers a range of adapters from large format to smaller format digital adapters. Adapting larger format lens to smaller format sensors (i.e: large format to medium format, medium format to 35mm, 35mm to Micro Four Thirds) provides excellent edge-to-edge sharpness. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the 'sweet spot' or center of the larger lens image circle.

The Kiwifotos LMA-EOS_OEM4/3 lens mount adapter is made of black anodized aluminium (camera body mount) and brass silver (lens mount). It allows you to use lenses from the Canon EF format on a Micro Four Thirds system body.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter; this is because there is no electronic link between the adapter and lens (and therefore the camera). You therefore need to use the camera in 'stop-down' mode which will require you to control the lens settings manually. Infinity focusing is guaranteed.

Instructions

Mount your adapter on the G1 and set the camera dial on the top plate to A for aperture priority

Open the LCD panel on the back of the camera and press the "Menu/Set" button on the back of the camera

On the far left frame of the LCD panel, go down to the 2nd tier, the Custom Menu

Now go to last Custom menu setting "SHOOT W/O LENS"

The "SHOOT W/O LENS" must> be ON - otherwise the camera's viewfinder will be dark when you have the adapter mounted!

Microfibre ClothYou should always carry a lens cloth to keep your lens or filter in tip top condition free from rain drops and dust. If not your pictures will suffer from lack of contrast flair and blurred patches.
