I bought one of these in ASDA in early June and it worked for about two weeks. First it would turn itself off then it just changed from DAB to FM when it felt like it. I took it back and exchanged it for another one. That lasted a week and then just died. Pity as when it works it's a nice little radio.

Brought through Amazon. Disappointed--very patchy reception on DAB and FM and it cuts in and out. Volume not great but it is a tiny unit. Old style personal radio/stereo was half the price and much better--not impressed by Goodmans technology.

Got this as a present and it looks good and is very light. The controls are easy to use and while I got no DAB reception indoors (I do have another DAB radio that works well indoors - so not a lack of signal). The FM sound was very good. I did get plenty DAB stations outside and the sound was good. You may have noticed the past tense by now. The radio took on a life of its own switching itself on and changing stations, even after I had switched it off and left it undisturbed. Because of this the batteries supplied with the radio ran down very quickly. I then put new batteries in and within 5 minutes, without the radio being switched on, it heated up to a temperature that I wouldn't have believed possible in a small battery powered gadget. I decided to take the batteries out but the inside of the radio was even hotter so it was a bit like juggling hot chestnuts. I don't know if this fault has anything to do with the fact that inside the packaging of the radio is a very bright orange card saying that if you have any difficulties, don't take it back to the shop, instead phone customer services on an 0871 number. 2 stars is a bit generous really but it does look good and it sounded good for the twenty minutes I managed to listen to it. Back to the shop I think!

i bought this radio last december as a christmas present.it was alway temperamental, but in april gave up the ghost altogether.
i contacted aqudos via amazon and received a prompt response asking me to send it back and aqudos would provide a replacement. as they are based in sharston, near our home, my husband took the radio back, and was given a no-quibble replacement immediately! how's that for efficiency?
i cant praise aqudos highly enough for their customer service, thank you! and amazon for always being so customer friendly and using companies that can be trusted
just want to add - the replacement radio has now died, and we treated it lovingly! we took it back to Aqudos and within minutes my credit card has received a refund for the full amount.
dont buy this radio, but do use Aqudos and Amazon!

got this from Argos in September and just taken it back because the display went blank. (radio still worked). That said the performance is impressive. I used it on the train (Guildford to Waterloo)and the reception was great. One major downside (besides being defective) was the battery consumption. If you buy one get rechargables. Overall I was well pleased until it gave up the ghost. Hopefully a one off.

great product, fantastic that you don't need to change batteries every two minutes, you can charge it like an i-pod in the mains!

I am delighted with this item and find the sound quality VERY good indeed. It is perfect to carry about and is fairly unobtrusive. I know that it is heavier than the average MP3 player but that hasn't caused me a problem. The battery life is excellent too and have only charged it up twice since I bought it. Admittedly I only listen to Radio 4 and Radio 7, for approximatley an hour each day travelling home on the bus so I'm not your average user. If there is a down side. The earphones that it came with didn't fit in my ears as they were too big!! But another pair I had already was a perfect swap. It is easy to use and thats really important and I would recommend it to people who like to drown out the daily hubbub, but still be in tune with whats happening in the world.

Absolutely superb reception and sound quality, no more horrible hiss from FM, easy to use easy to tune, this is my second Pure digital radio the other being a normal portable, i have bought this for use whilst out walking and could not have chosen better, slightly pricier than the competition but i think worth it as I believe Pure to be the best, in my area I get 35 channels which is enough for me.

I bought it for radio 4 on train to work. It does not work in several spots. My other pocket radio had a setting for turning off after a set time. This one is lethal on batteries - do not buy without rechargeables. Far bulkier than ideal. Good though when in a good reception area.

Nice little radio, easy to use, feels good. The sound quality is superb! Though, the signal strength should be very high to be able to catch it. Often cut-offs during the move are little bit annoying.
