I am delighted with this item and find the sound quality VERY good indeed. It is perfect to carry about and is fairly unobtrusive. I know that it is heavier than the average MP3 player but that hasn't caused me a problem. The battery life is excellent too and have only charged it up twice since I bought it. Admittedly I only listen to Radio 4 and Radio 7, for approximatley an hour each day travelling home on the bus so I'm not your average user. If there is a down side. The earphones that it came with didn't fit in my ears as they were too big!! But another pair I had already was a perfect swap. It is easy to use and thats really important and I would recommend it to people who like to drown out the daily hubbub, but still be in tune with whats happening in the world.

Absolutely superb reception and sound quality, no more horrible hiss from FM, easy to use easy to tune, this is my second Pure digital radio the other being a normal portable, i have bought this for use whilst out walking and could not have chosen better, slightly pricier than the competition but i think worth it as I believe Pure to be the best, in my area I get 35 channels which is enough for me.

I bought it for radio 4 on train to work. It does not work in several spots. My other pocket radio had a setting for turning off after a set time. This one is lethal on batteries - do not buy without rechargeables. Far bulkier than ideal. Good though when in a good reception area.

Nice little radio, easy to use, feels good. The sound quality is superb! Though, the signal strength should be very high to be able to catch it. Often cut-offs during the move are little bit annoying.
