This TV was just what I'd been looking for, so was really pleased with it initially. Then the sound stopped working.
Contacted Toshiba who told me I needed to sort it out through Amazon - so called Amazon, who told me there had been a fault with the sound on these models. The outcome of my phone conversation was that there was a comparable Toshiba model which didn't have the sound issues, which they would swap for me. Ideal! Then about 20mins later I got an automated email from Amazon saying that they didn't have any stock and that I needed to return the TV to get a refund. Not what we'd agreed - and sending a TV back is not that easy a task if you don't have the original box.
So I called Amazon back, saying I wasn't happy with this result - but they weren't budging - they would only offer me a refund after I'd returned the TV, and they had no other suitable models yadda yadda.... rubbish customer service.
Anyway - long story short - I called Toshiba back told them how rubbish Amazon had been, and they very helpfully agreed to fix the TV for me. They sent a courier to pick it up, replaced a small part, and delivered it back to me.
So now I'm happy - but no thanks to Amazon.

Unfortunately this TV lasted all of 6 weeks before the sound went on it. I have to say the Amazon customer service has been superb though and they are going to refund me for the item.

At first I was highly delighted with this TV. It looks great, was so easy to set up, played my DVD's no problem & got all my freeview channels. The picture & sound were spot on for our bedroom.
BUT, after a couple of weeks we would try to switch it on & find no sound, it was intermittent & happened with analogue, digital & DVD's. Toshiba told us to eturn to Amazon which was so straight forward & a replacment was out in 24hrs.
BUT, after a couple of weeks the sound just kept going off, this time mid programme! So this one went back to Amazon & a refund given.
On the plus side the service has been second to non. The TVs would have been perfect if only they didn't go all quiet on us.

This worked well for 30 days now has no sound unless I use the headphone socket
Poor response from Amazon, this is the last large item I purchase from here

Bought this for my little girls bedroom as a birthday present and she loved it-when it worked!..Sound comes and goes and I've now had to return it as I have been advised this is a known fault with this tv, not worth the inconvenience of returning etc and leaves her without a tv now until we receive refund. A bit frustrating to be told this is a 'known' fault as it wasn't made 'known' to me.
