Shopped around quite a lot and stumbled across this little bargain. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Reception is good and very easy to set up - almost didnt need the instructions booklet at all! I am pleased with my purchase, it keeps me company in the kitchen and in the laundry room when I am doing the most boring of chores, ironing! and girls it comes in PINK!!!PURE ONE Mini DAB/FM Radio - Black

I really like this radio. Excellent sound and easy to operate. Slight downside is that it insists on defaulting to 'Planet Rock' as its no. 1 pre-set favourite !

Works very well, picks up even weak stations that the old dab radio would not. Only downside is that anything plugged into the 'line in' socket cannot use the Pure's volume control. As a consequence you are stuck with the volume control on the the MP3 player or whatever. As that is designed for headphones, it's not really loud enough. Black mark there! Otherwise though, a value for money product.

One of the killer apps for DAB radio for me, is the scrolling display, showing you at a glance what you're listening to.
The display on this model scrolls painfully slowly; Nobody reads that slowly.
If you want to jump ahead using the wheel, that is also painfully slow. Imagine a mouse wheel set to just a single line per click. You'd wear your finger out scrolling.
Whilst scrolling the radio reset itself a few times, revealing a possible firmware problem.
There is probably more but I've only just taken it out of the box, and been left with an immediate bad impression.

It works well as a DAB radio and, being compact, is quite easy to pack to take away on trips. I only plan to use it as a mains radio, so the lack of the stupidly expensive battery pack didnt bother me too much. However it would be much better if it accepted normal batteries for the occassional use where mains power is not available. It is not up to the usual Pure quality standard. For instance the dial (for volume control and station change) doesnt always work first time. It seems to work best when used slowly. It is also difficult to select a station, requiring two hands as the dial has to be pushed from the side. I have a larger Pure radio, too big for travel use, which is much better quality. You get what you pay for from Pure.
