The aspects I like of this dock are:

- the small size

-large font, so it is easy to see the time even without corrective lenses.



However, there were many aspects which I was disappointed with:

- When you are playing your Ipod, it does not continue to show the time, also it does not display the song title

- very fiddly (I still haven't managed to tune the radio stations)

-I can't seem to get AM

- The instructions aren't very clear.

- It's more of an alarm clock than an Idock

This does pretty much what I wanted it to; a DAB, Ipod-enabled alarm clock for the bedroom. Nothing flashy, and the sound certainly isn't what you would call 'Hi-Fi', but it serves a purpose and is good for the (low-ish) price. Agree with the previous reviews about the incredibly bright backlight, but it doesn't detract too much.

i bought this as a christmas present for my boyfriend but unfortunatly as we live in a remote aera we can not get much to tune at all exept of course radio 1 which is not great bedtime listening! but the worst thing is the back light which has 3 settings bright (which could light a whole dinner party!) medium (which still litghts the whole room in a blue haze) or dim which turns the blue backlight almost off but then you cant see the damn clock as a result i am now on the hunt for a more practical bedroom dab clock radio with alarm!!! on the plus side the remote is handy and looks nice!!Roberts Idream CRD42 DAB/FM Stereo Clock Radio with Dock for iPod

Positives

Sound quality is excellent.

Sensitivity of DAB tuner is good. We live in a poor DAB area and it receives everything without problem.

IPOD dock does exactly what it says.

Setup is easy.



Negatives

The display is either too bright (on middle of 3 settings) or too dim (lowest setting).

We find it difficult to sleep with it shining so brightly.

On the dim setting, from a distance, first thing in the morning with bleary eyes, it is difficult to read.
