A neighbour bought one of these radios from a local store and we were impressed with it but a much better deal was available from Amazon with free delivery. Delivery time was reasonable and it was good that Amazon stated the size and quantity of batteries required. Pacakage arrived within the time stated and we have not been disappointed. Battery life is far better than a previous 'retro' Roberts radio and the sound quality is very good. The sliding pointers have limited use as we tend to stay tuned to one programme.

When you pay this kind of money you're half expecting a let down - but it is terffic! Simple, no nonsense and works perfectly well (even though we are in a poor reception area). If you're looking for a handy little radio for the bathroom, for example, it does the job just fine. A little bargain.

This is an excellent portable radio which gives a good reception and is reliable and durable. This is suitable if you want a 3 band radio just for listening around the house or in the shed with a good analogue station range,simple to operate ,no gadgetry, & minimal possibility of faults(unlike more sophisticated digital radios which have more stations but can be temperamental,need internet connections etc.). Appearance is slightly 'clunky' rather than sleek but good sound quality. Not heavy on batteries so handy when there's a power cut!
