Great sound and really strong reception of all DAB stations even though we live in a rural area and reception can be poor on other DAB radios.
Usual Sony quality and ease of operation; as other reviewers have noted, the battery life isn't great (althougth it's acceptable), this is a problem common to DAB radios not just this one, so it's just a question of coping with it!
A great choice if you want a high quality portable DAB radio.

I wanted a portable easy to use DAB radio to replace a cheaper one that had broken. Using it on mains it is a bit of a pain, if you unplug it, it loses all its settings and it takes a while to load each time. But apart from that, the sound quality is good and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a lightweight DAB for day to day use.

Bought this Sony Dab radio after doing a bit of research. Really wanted a DAB radio but wasn't sure if DAB reception would be ok in my area (Ballymoney).
Have to say I am delighted with this radio. Small but not only looks good it delivers on quality and sound. Easy to take from room to room.

I read the reviews about this product and the many comments about poor battery life but I figured I could live with that as I only use this radio for a few hours each day. I ended up changing alkaline batteries every 3 days, 2500mA rechargeables only lasting 2 days. Also if you take longer than 1 minute to change the batteries you lose all your channels and channel presets. It's just a pain to use. I ended up returning the Sony for a full refund and buying something better.

This radio is very small 200mm x 100mm (appears larger in sales details )but upto Sony high quality. Very good reception on most digital stations. If it is disconnected from mains electricity and you have no battery back up, some retuning is required,this only takes a few minutes, so no problem.
