I replaced my DAB radio with this Sony after the aerial snapped. Up until then I was very happy with my old DAB, but now I have experienced the Sony I will never look back. The XDRs10 Looks superb, sounds superb, has superb reception and build quality appears superb.
In a word: superb!

MY FIRST DAB RADIO AND AM DELIGHTED WITH IT AND USE IT DAILY IN MY KITCHEN. I CAN'T FAULT ANYTHING ABOUT IT. EASY TO USE AND INITIAL SET UP WAS STRAIGHTFORWARD TOO.

The radio is really nicely presented - fits in well with my wooden kitchen. The sound quality is really good for listening away with all the sounds of the kitchen going on. It's really easy to use and set up and I feel it's really good value for money.
I can't really comment on the range of the stations avaiable as I just listen to the main ones like radio 1,2, (which are crystal clear). But my boyfriend is happy that there's a good selection of news channels!
Great product - thanks!

guys, for those with this radio and think that it doesnt have an alarm you are wrong. i have complained to sony that there is one after they told me that there isnt. to activate it make sure the radio isnt playing and press 'Sleep' and 'Display' simutaniously, this will give you the option of 4 alarms. :)

I borrowed one of these radios from a friend to try it out first as we cannot get FM reception anywhere in our house (old house, thick walls!). It worked perfectly and so I ordered one the same day.
It arrived 2 days later and I have had it on ever since. Reception is good for a small radio and it looks fine.
As for tuning - well - it's actually simpler than simple. I plugged it in and it set its own date/time and then tuned itself into all the avaiable stations. All I needed to do was decide which presets I wanted each station to be on - which really was done at the press of a button and a turn of a nob.
It has a small display which shows you who you are listening to and what's being played - all the normal stuff you get - I assume - with a digital radio (although I know little about them to be honest).
I note that someone said in the feedback that you can't turn it off at the set and need to unplug it. This is not actually true. There is an on/off button it's just that when you turn it off the display stays on and shows the date and time - which I assume is what they were talking about when they said that you can't turn it off. But it's only like having a digital clock on so I don't really see that it's much of a problem.
I would certainly recommend this radio to anyone who wants a VERY simple to use DAB radio.
