My old kitchen radio/cd player was just awful trying to get a signal plus the CD didn't work anymore. I would have loved to have a CD player included in this purchase but the real joy is that you can actually get a clear sound.......even if you walk in front of it!!!! The other one just faded crackled and was generally very irritating.
Really pleased with the radios reception. Bit of along wait because we were told the first one went astray and the website keeps telling you to wait until the time is up but once the time was up they said it was re-sent and it came the very next day.

The product is excellent quality and performance...but...the way it eats batteries is phenomenal!
It is used in a bathroom so mains use is not an option.
I contacted Pure, who credit to them, sent me a new unit to try, which is just as bad!
I use it on a low volume maybe twice a day for 5 minutes and a set of batteries lasts approximately 7-10 days! That is 6 x C size Duracells!
I am going to use it somewhere I can plug it in and get a cheap non DAB for the bathroom!

We're in a poor recaption area for digital and i got this radio on the strength of someone's review saying it had a good reception - and it does!
The sound quality is only average but what can you expect at that price?
Easy to use, a good buy overall.

Mine died after two months. First it went so quiet (even at full volume) I couldn't hear it, then it simply stopped turning on.
