I bought this tv last week, as my father has a 42wlt66, which apart from slow remote response are both excellent tvs. Yes this is a euro version, but it does not affect use in the uk, as you just select english language. Ive set up freeview no problems and red button interactive works fine. For the price i dont mind its not a full uk version. End of the day we are part of the eu and have the normal warranty via amazon. Back to the tv, sd signals are great, much better than a cheap tft i had recently, and i use an xbox360 and it looks fantastic, the tv will accept a 1080p signal but as it is not a true 1080 screen it will be downscaled, i cannot make out any difference between 720i 1080i 1080p for games. Improvement over the wlt66 is that you can press ok to get straight into the input selection menu. The swivel stand is great but it does poke out quite a bit.
Overall very impressive 32" at a good price, what sold it to me was 3 hdmi ports and 100hz.

Beware of this product as according to Toshiba UK the PG means it is meant for the French market not the UK, affecting set-up and access to services e.g. interactive 'red button'
The carrier also says there is a large F stamped on the box which people believe means Freeview but it would appear probably means France!
They have had reports from people that they can't get the TV to work properly.
32WLT68 is a superb TV but 32WLT68PG is not ,in the UK!

PICTURE - got mine running through Virgin V+ box and set up with quality HDMI lead. Picture is very good and Activision M100 works quite well when watching football. Blacks and other dark colours are good for a LCD. Probably just a cable thing but picture better on the ITVs and Channel4s than BBCs - except on BBC HD of course where football and other top shows like Planet Earth are truly awesome. Can't fault the HD picture.
SOUND - surprised how good the sound is, especially given how hidden away the speakers are - clear and a decent amount of bass. No distortion problems when cranked up loud. Also got mine rigged up through a Denon surround sound - nice!
CONNECTIONS - Can't go wrong with 3 HDMIs - future proofed!
STYLE - Love the 'piano' ceramic black look!
BAD POINT - The remote looks, feels and works in a way not associated to the rest of the TV!

I bought this TV after reading many great reviews of it.
Pros: This is a good looking set, the shiny piano black and brushed aluminium means that it matches my mixture of black and silver AV equipment. The picture is excellent and shows no sign of blurring or juddering, which I've witnessed on other LCD TV's. This has a lot of inputs and with 3 HDMI ports it should easily cater for the addition of future HD equipment. The sound is good, although it won't compete with a good surround sound amp. The picture from the built in digital tuner is very good, which is probably dude to the built in signal booster. You can bring up a list of the signal inputs which you can select from, which can be quicker then most TV's that only let you scroll through one input at a time. The freeview program guide is well presented and relatively easy to use (although not as intuitive as sky)
Cons: The TV can be slow to react to the remote when using the freeview digital program guide and also when switching between inputs. It only goes up to 1080i, but on a 32 inch TV it can be argued that you probably wouldn't really see a difference between 1080i and 1080p.
Conclusion:
This is a great TV, I've previously owned a sanyo LCD tv, and the picture on the Toshiba blows it away. Although there is the problem with the remote not being responsive enough, it is a small gripe, which other may not find a problem. And for the price I would highly recommend this TV.

Please be aware that what you are buying is just the Tv. You have to buy the stand. So take a look at the picture, and you will see what I mean. I would advise you to check the prices of the stands. If you already have the universal wall brackets, or stands, then this television is idealy priced, has all the basic requirements. But if not I would advise you to look elsewhere. Although viewsonic claim to have customer support world wide, I have found tv repair shops don't have a clue who viewsonic are, and as for getting something done under the warranty, no chance. I live in Crawley, the nearest customer service is in London.

this is a great tv set. i have owned it for 8 months now so i have used it enough to give a fair and thorough review.
1. Picture. the picture is very, very good! it has 1080p input for the ps3, 360, bluray and upscaling dvd etc. and it also supports 24fps on bluray which is good. the contrast is very good and looks breathtaking on the opening scene of the dark knight on bluray (you'll know the scene im on about when you see it ;]). the motion engine on this tv also works surprisingly well i haven't seen any motionblur yet apart from when i player fifa 08 (this happens on all of the HD TV's i have seen)
2. Sound. like another reviewer said the sound is top notch. it has virtual surround sound and lots of ps3 games, blurays, dvds and xbox 360 games are output in virtual dolby surround sound. it is so good it has actually made me hold out for another year before buying a 5.1 cinema system!
3. Connections. this tv has alot of very useful inputs. it has 4 HDMI ports, a component input (supports 1080p), s-video input, 2 scarts, USB, composite. the only inputs i use are HDMI and component. they both give a top quality picture in 1080p input (HDMI is slightly better). and the HDMI gives virtual dolby surround sound, component gives digital stereo which is pretty good. this tv also has a SPDIF coaxial output, and the standard L+R stereo output. 2 bad things about the connections are no VGA for easy connection to a laptop or pc (HDMI is better anyway but my laptop doesn't have it) and a SPDIF optical output would be better because it supported by way more amps and cinema systems.
the tv looks very attractive and the picture is as good as my uncle's 50" panasonic 1080p plasma (new TV but not sure which model) but this tv's sound is better. this philips is only just beaten by my grandfather's sony bravia 40" w5500 on picture quality (mainly because of the sony's motionflow) but it beats his tv for sound. that is a fair opinion by 4 people's comments not just mine.
All in all this TV is very good. my main uses are 360, ps3, bluray, and upscaled dvd. these 4 features all work absolutely brilliantly. freeview isnt available in my area so i cant comment on that. the only little niggles i have are - no VGA (PC input is supported through HDMI though), coaxial instead of optical (optical is more widespread). and i don't think it supports philips easylink. this is just like bravia sync where you can control all of your HDMI devices with just 1 remote. like i said though all in all a great TV and i am very glad i picked this over the sony 32v4000!

People should buy more Philips TV's in my opinion. This is a brilliant tele and when watching HD transmissions, the picture is simply unbeatable. Great with an upscaling DVD player (only a complete nerd would be able to distinquish between other TV's), and gaming through a 360 is stunning. Go get one!

Admittedly, I don't buy a different tv every month. However, even without lots of comparisons to go by, I find this Philips set quite superb: the design is excellent; the connectivity is very good; the sharpness and clarity of the picture is magnificent; the sound (I have to disagree with reviewers who found it poor) first rate. I was debating a purchase of either this Philips or a similarly priced Panasonic. I'm sure the Panasonic is also top notch, but I have no regrets whatever about my choice. If you are wobbling between this set and another, have no fear of choosing the Philips.

This is my 3rd LG LCD TV. My first LG LCD was purchased when LCD was first released so I paid a premium. Nowadays Im a bit more switched on and purchase end of line; as the savings are fantastic, and the extra features offered in first generation are negligible.
LG and Samsung make the majority of the LCD screens and system components for the majority of manufacturers; SONY, Panasonic, etc, etc. Over Samsung I prefer LG styling. What you pay for with BIG brands is kudos and in the main, additional sound technology.
Yes, you should purchase a surround sound system for LG LCDs as they don't spend too much on their integrated sound systems. But in doing so you still save a lot of money compared to the uplift costs of SONY Bravia, Panasonic Viera sound bundles for example.
For me; if you're not in it for the name. And if you are looking for quality, reliability, and a sensible purchase I would recommend LG LCD TVs.

I bought this tv for my parents. It arrived promptly but when I tried to attach the stand to the base I found the screws were not the right size. On contacting the seller I was told that it might be many weeks before I would get replacement screws from LG which was no good to me.I had to go and get the correct ones from Homebase. Not a good start. Once the tv was turned on we discovered that it was very difficult to get a decent picture no matter how I adjusted the aerial. I ended up buying 2 aerials to to see if they would make any difference but to no avail. The picture when you managed to get one was poor and would disappear completely when you moved near the tv.(My parents are in a free view area they had been able to get free view on a digi box before). After putting up with this for three weeks I sent the tv back. There was no problem with the refund or collection of the tv I am glad to say, that was handled efficiently. I would not recommend an LG based on this experience. Incidentally no replacement screws ever arrived.

This flat screen TV was one of the cheapest i could find and it is still just as good as my other more expensive one (35in) which cost twice as much. It works great with my ps3 and the definition is amazing.

Not a huge fan of LG Products and tend to avoid them. However I wanted a Plasma Tv as opposed to LCD and didnt want a 37 inch monster so plumped for this one as it seems to be the only 32 inch Plasma on the market. Got to say hugely impressed. The colour depth is beautiful even on content streamed from the internet and the design of the tv is sleak and easy on the eye. The LG logo is a bit chavvy but I will be covering that up with a sticker. Freeview output is a bit weak, but I am in a poor reception area so thats not the fault of the tele, and I have upgraded to Cable now anyway. Officially in love with this product and cannot recommend it highly enough. By the way I bought this as graded stock from Value tech who were superb with super fast delivery, also no indication on why it was graded, appears to me in pristine condition so may be worth a punt with this company as they also offer the cheapest deal. Lovely bit of kit at a bargain price.

I recently had to buy a new TV as my trusty 8 year old 22" tv/video combi had started to lose colour, so it was time for me to make a decision on what I needed in my new upgrade...what with technology over taking me at a rapid pace!
I had already bought my Mother a VHS/DVD/HHD and had finally managed to convert her into the 21st century by using the hard drive, even though she has no idea about computers and the thought that something simply has a 'memory'!
However, having seen how simple it was to use the Hard Drive on that, I began to wonder if there was a make of Tv that would incorporate it into a set along with Freeview...and low and behold, I found the highly acclaimed JVC!
I must admit, although the 32" took a few minutes to adjust to, having been used to the smaller screens, I have to say that I was very impressed with the oevrall picture quality. This is something that at first concerned me as buying online I was not able to first view it for preference. I had previously walked around Currys and been amazed at how different all the screens were, so was a bit worried about buying 'blind' so to speak.
Once the item arrived, very very quickly I may add, my worries were put to bed as the picture was very lifelike and natural. Setting up was a doddle, although maybe that was due to my knowledge of computers so I was able to work my way through the screen options...however, for those that are not, the manual was sufficient to get you started.
I love the fact that this Tv enables you to record two programmes on the Freeview whilst watching a different channel...which has saved me so much time with having to plan my recordings with the two tv/vhs sets that I have in the house!
I would highly recommend this JVC tv to everyone, as it is a great thing to have and has eliminated so much time consuming programming with video tapes, etc...AND you don't need to plug in yet another appliance to the TV! I'm so impressed with this set that I'm looking to buy another one for my Mother and replace the nearly new Sony Bravia that she has...and that's saying something!

For people who remember the uncomplicated days when you just had a tv set only, this is a most innovative and brilliant idea!

Hi ive had this TV for sometime. Its excellent for the TV and game consoles. I have the 360 and PS3 which all work fine. Which the PS3 is excellent frew the HDMI. But when using the PC i have to use a normal RGB lead. I have been trying to use a DVI to HDMI adaptor from my PC to the TV but with no look. When i tried using a differnt make of TV with using the DVI to HDMI lead it worked and could use the HDMI ports instead of using the RGB. When i plug the DVI to HDMI lead into HDMI1 or HDMI2 on the TV and change the channel to the right HDMI where my lead is connected nothing happens it goes to the dule black screen as nothing is on the screen. I am using a ATI RadeonHD3870 X2 Which like i said it works fine with other TV's but not this one. Also HDMI3 slot dont work on the PS3 either which is strange.
Thanks for any help or comments. Hope its not just me with the PC. Im actualy using the TV now but using the RGB lead but i want the DVI to HDMI to work.

We've a selection of Sharp Aquos HD Ready TVs - we've been more than happy with them and they are miles better than ordinary CRT TVs.
This time we went the full 1080p at 32". Didn't go Sharp this time, I did some research on specifications/features and I felt this Toshiba had many excellent features at a cost effective price. And at Amazon it was cheaper than other High Street chains.
Got the TV delivered next day, unboxed it, fitted together and plugged in. Freeview tuned in quickly and easily, so did terrestrial (channels were easy to swap around too). The instruction manual is informative and the remote is well designed.
I'm no expert on TVs (hence the 5*) but it isn't half a cracking picture - with good sound too.
Can't wait to get a PS3/Wii/speaker system hooked up.

I bought this television as a replacement for a 26" 720p set, and wasn't convinced that the Full HD would make a big difference at this size.. How wrong I was!
This was recommended to me by a friend who managed to pick one up for £470 from Comet, and so I was happy to find that Amazon did it for £430 :) The setup of the television couldn't have been simpler, literally took 2 minutes to get it working with PS3 and PC (both via hdmi connection). The only problem was that my PC (running Ubuntu 9.04) would display with overscan, even when set to the correct resolution of 1920x1080..
It took me half an hour to realize that there is a button in the bottom left hand corner of the remote, which you need to set to "Exact match" in order to display correctly (look in the manual under "PC widescreen" to see which option it is)
The PS3 worked straight away with no problems, and Wipeout HD is now being played in its full glory! From the moment I booted it up, I could see what people are talking about when they rave about the sound quality - all the sound effects in the game suddenly came to life, and the custom soundtrack I had put on suddenly sounded more vibrant! I had to turn the bass down slightly to stop it distorting at higher volumes, but apart from that the sound is perfect, and even rivals my stand alone system!
Another plus point is the 3.5mm audio input for one of the HDMI sockets - this means you can connect a PC via DVI-HDMI, and plug in the audio at the same time. I plug my PC into a separate system, however this feature would be great for people without the space for one.
The last, great feature is the power switch on the left hand side of the machine - most new TV's do have these, however this is less of a fiddly little switch, instead you get a big button to press :)
All in all, an awesome machine!

Had this TV now for 6 months, had to have a replacement sent out as the green power down button broke but amazon sent one out in 2 days no questions asked. Tv itself is fantastic, superb if you have HD as the picture is top quality! Looks great but does colate alot of dust but if your like me then i treat this as my boy toy so im always cleaning it! Sound could be better but for the price its the best deal around!
Looking for a quality LCD TV with all the top specs than this is the one to get!

Absolutely cannot fault the TV at all, it is perfect for me.
My main reason for buying was to enjoy 1080p xbox graphics, which look superb on the screen.
But I was also surprised to find that watching freeview on it it incredibly clear, it is really a brilliant TV.
Also love the sensor on the front that adjusts the contrast depending on the brightness of the room.
BRILLIANT!
