Arrived on time and well packaged. Good value for money and takes great clear pictures. If your wanting really close up pictures of animals/bees/spiders however, you may want to invest in a more expensive macro lens. Overall though, a great inexpensive lens.

I have used this lens on a trip to prague with my Nikon D3000 and I found the lens easy to change and use and compact to carry around all day in a Lowpro slingshot, obviously any lens that has a range of uses also has its limitations but I could not fault this lens for what it is designed to achieve.

I received a Nikon D3000 for Christmas and decided to buy this lens, I was not disappointed. The VR makes a big difference. I have just got back from Egypt and got some great results. There was a bit of a delay with the delivery due to the snow, I got in contact with the company and they were very helpful.

Recently bought this lens to add to standard 18-55mm lens with Nikon D40 DSLR camera. Would recommend the VR function and also invest a few extra euro to get a tripod.

I bought this lens to compliment my 18-55 VR lens which came with my Nikon D5000. It's a very good buy but after a few weeks I decided that I would prefer the 18-200 VR lens to replace my 2 lenses and I also bought a very fast 35mm f1.8 lens for poor lighting situations. The 18-200 is certainly the most used but it is expensive! VR works brilliantly on the Nikon lenses and you won't really realise just how good it is until you turn it off and compare the results. When it's on, it means that you can use a slower shutter speed hand-held and it works so well. If you are thinking of buying the cheaper 55-200 lens without VR I would advise you to spend the extra money. Your hand is probably not as steady as you think it is!!

The first thing that I found with this lense is that it came very, very quickly. Within, I say, 50 hours of ordering, it was delivered to my doorstep. However I do live near Stansted Airport, were it may of been delivered faster than adverage.
Now... I am a very ameture photogropher, at the age of 15, amd bought this lense after a year of umming and arring. And I have to question myself why I didn't purchase it sooner. This lense offeres a huge boost in my world of photography and a zoom lenes is much needed when you don't have one. It offers lovely, clear zoom and at full zoom, it still keeps perfect clarity. The "vibration reduction" is much needed because it's hard to keep a steady hand and when its off, people think you're going old with arthritis.
Another note: This product comes with a useful case and a lense hood, which I didn't realize when I bought it.
