Would have given this product 5 stars it sounds great easy set up reliable alarm easy to change stations good snooze options but why on earth does it have a 160 watt bulb for a display light it lights the room up with a blue light like the ones in Si fie films when a space sip lands,it says there are 3 settings for the display well on the one i have they are BRIGHT,VERY BRIGHT AND ONLY USE WHEN WEARING EYE PROTECTION,needles to say we have the display turned off.

I concur with all the adverse comments from other reviewers and regret not being guided by them rather than the Which Report. I returned the radio within 24hr of receipt. and if the Amazon system allowed I would give it NO stars.

Nice compact product, sound quality okay, but.... too many steps to set up alarms and clock(I am in a poor DAB reception area, so have to set clock manually) and the antenna is too short to provide a better reception. I purchased this alarm clock after having read some of the negative reviews. I'm glad I did. Some of the negative reviews are wrong. i.e. when playing the radio it stays on the radio station and not on the time. Well if you are listening to the radio you can press the display/menu button and it will scroll through to the time and stay on the time. The quality of sound is great. Your selected station will also tell you what kind of station it is, i,e, pop music, will tell you what song is currently playing and also what is coming on next. It is also good having the 2 alarms that can be set to come on daily or weekends. Another negative review was that the display was angled. My bedside table is level with my bed so there is no problem looking at the display. It would only be a problem if you were looking 'up' to it. In my view, a great wee radio and I can recommend it, infact I have bought another one as a gift for xmas.

While the general visual design is pleasing, there are several aspects which I feel detract from its overall performance.
1. There are far too many buttons which are very vulnerable to accidental actuation from bed.
2. However much I try, I have been unable to fix the multitude of adjustable factors so that things stay put when the radio alarm operates. This applies especially to the display info which changes from the simple time/day-of-the- week into one of the many other text/numerical displays.
3. The backlight is too bright even at minimum brightness setting, and at night I am illuminated in bed far too brightly!! All I need is the time visible at night.
4. I think this is a good device but far too complicated, with too many setting actions for simple changes.
5. Surely the antenna could be more rigid and telescopic, like most "old" miniature radios; not a floppy piece of wire.
