Roberts Radios Stereo Clock Radio With CD Bookmark
The Roberts Sound 37 has been descirbed as an all singing all dancing DAB CD Stereo Clock Radio. As well as the benefits of DAB the Sound 37 offers multiple alarms CD and MP3/WMA playback and the unique CD Bookmark function. The CD Bookmark function automatically remembers the last played position on the disc. Switch it off and when you return it will pick up where you left off just as with a car stereo. So - perfect for anyone who is fed up with listening to the same first three songs of an album all the time... The Sound 37's multiple alarms can wake you up to your preferred CD track radio or buzzer. Bresser Biorit 40x-1280 Stereo Microscope
The biological microscope Bresser Biorit is designed for the beginning in microscopy, for hobby and study. On the other hand, it has a superior equipment. A part of this is the accu, which is mounted in the microscope base. The accu makes possible a mobile use, as well as the AC adaptor makes possible the located use. Initially purchased the PURE Chronos CD II as I wanted a Radio Alarm clock that would do everything. I already have a PURE DAB radio so I knew that the pedigree was pretty good. Unfortunately when I got the unit home I discovered that PURE had cut back on quality on the CD. The DAB and alarm funtionality was great but I also wanted the CD to play MP3's and at a low level. The previous version of the Chronos CD did play MP3 encoded CD's but not this one despite several websites saying to the contrary. I had to phone PURE support to check and they said it was a cost/licensing issue not to support MP3 CD's???? Aside from this the CD is unlistenable to a very low volume levels because the CD mechanism itself is just so noisy, with a constant whirring hum and a regular click. In the end I took the unit back and swopped it for the Roberts CRD37 and this was possibly the best move I have made. Apart from the small, hard to see buttons and the strange font on the display this Roberts outclasses the PURE in every department. YES, even in the radio area with a half size aerial. The CD mechanism is now silent and the sound quality is excellent (for a small radio alarm clock) even without any tone controls. To anyone who is in the market for a DAB, CD Alarm clock that plays CD MP3's then I recommend this higher than the PURE.
PURE have now released a mini Hifi which also funtions as a radio alarm clock and supports MP3 CD's, but this is a 3 box solution, not great for a small bedside table.

Wish I had not bought this. Controls miniature and hard to track, sound quality poor for money, hard work all in all, about to ditch it and buy Sony or similar as this turned out to be pretty useless

Not for someone who needs an instruction book to know what they are doing. The instruction book appears simple but the radio does not appear to do what it says it should be doing when trying to set it up, i.e the alarm. Have not found out yet how to switch alarm off for just a day when it is not needed. The radio on f.m is not very good at all, perhaps because the ariel is not long enough. This is still though, a good radio/cd/alarm for the price,the cd player and dab radio are very good and easy to use.

There's no doubt this is a well-made DAB/FM radio/cd player and it looks good. Only thing is, as other reviews mention ... it has a pathetic piece of (cheap)wire for an "aerial" which is pretty ineffective. Actually it's useless. As a result, the radio is not able to receive ANY DAB stations here! The manual suggests moving the unit to another location, which isn't too helpful as in reality this means up in the loft and it's very cold up there at the moment. And not too convenient either when I actually wanted to enjoy the thing in the lounge! It will pull in a few FM stations - but only those with a very strong signal (e.g. Radio 2). By the way I'm talking London area - not Uzbekhistan! It won't receive LBC (on DAB or FM!)for example. By comparison I can get LBC on my car FM radio when 40+ miles from Central London! And another DAB radio at home[Pure Evoke with 68cm metal retractable aerial]works fine.
The CD player works well and the speakers are good for their size, producing acceptable sound. Bass and treble controls would improve the overall experience.
So, unless you live next to (or up!) a radio transmitter or want to install an external radio aerial on the roof (and modify the Roberts to accept the feed!), I'd avoid the Roberts CRD-37 and go for something with a more effective/sensitive/powerful receiver and a proper aerial. Seriously considered sending this one back - but may give it to my daughter and see if she gets better reception (or rather see if it'll work as a DAB radio receiver) where she lives.

My wife wanted a DAB radio for her birthday (mad keen on sports news)plus it had to have FM (local news) plus she listens to reading book CD's every night plus she plays Mp3 CD's - the side of her bed was cluttered to achieve this.
After many hours trawling the net I came across the Roberts Sound 37 - it looked perfect - I was a bit concerned about the comments by others of the DAB reception and its 'cheap looks' but decided to 'go for it'!
Very good DAB and FM reception, CD bookmark is great - sound is good ( bass/treble control would have been good though)- once you know what all the buttons do its great.

Delivery was timely and the packing was good.
The performance is as promised, and to date no problems have been experienced
I have two minor criticisms-
When the radio is off it is difficult to see the clock; surely it should be possible to improve the illumination slightly
The sleep timer setting is a ponderous operation
However, I fear I carp too much. The performance of the radio is outstandingly good

I live in south London and I bought this radio because both my Pure radios started to get only intermittent DAB reception in the front rooms of our house having worked perfectly for 3/4 years. The radios, the signal (?) who knows anyway the solution seemed to be an internet radio. It worked very well until my internet crashed and took a week to sort when I found that this radio has excellent DAB reception as well. I now use the DAB for alarms and bbc stations and internet for fun stations - Radio Bop etc. Good sound, easy to use, I would prefer more presets and I wish the display could be dimmed much more; I cover it with a book at night - a minor niggle. Recommended

This is my second WiFi Radio and it replaces my faithful BT unit. The Roberts is east to set up, has great sound and reception. I like it's retro chunky looks and easy to use controls. Need I say more!!!!

The Roberts is the third internet radio I have purchased over the last 5 years, and the only one to have met all my expectations - and more.I was looking for a radio that would give me easy access to all internet stations - especially BBC Radio 3 and 4, which require Real Player on the radio for best results - via my home wireless network, with high enough quality sound reproduction to make it a pleasure to listen to classical music. This product delivered the stream of my dreams - quick and easy set-up, intuitive tuning and pre-sets, simple remote, extraordinary sound quality for such a small box, and the added bonuses of DAB for my local music stations and easy access to all music files on my home PC via my wireless network. On top of that, it actually looks great, in a comfortingly retro way. Top marks for Roberts!

Bought the Roberts to replace a Pure Flow Evoke which broke down.
The Roberts is a better radio being more straightforward to use with stations loading faster.Sound is great on voice or music,remote comes with it plus there is a very good handbook with the radio.
Downside is that it will not work on batteries.
I should have bought this first.

The Roberts Stream 202 is a fantastic internet radio. The sound quality is excellent. It's ability to connect to thousands of internet radio stations quickly and simply, plus being able to play podcasts make it the perfect kitchen or bedroom radio.
The only downsides are the styling looks a bit cheap (I purchased the white version which to my mind was an improvement on the other colours) and I missed the ability to scroll through and pause podcasts.
If you want to listen to internet radio (as well as FM and DAB) without any hassle and with fantastic clarity, then this is the perfect choice.

This great radio freed me from the frustration of BBC Radio 4 Longwave. No more jiggling the radio to get clear reception, no more cricket etc. The sound quality is superb and it is wonderful being able to get stations from around the globe at the click of a button. But I'd recommend it for daytime use only.
It is not well designed for the bedside table. The blue light screen is far too bright - I have to wear an eyeshade when I am listening. If the room is in darkness (well it never is properly dark with the radio on) the screen brightness makes it hard to see any control knobs. If you are feeling your way there is not enough differentiation between knobs. The controls are not easy to use if you are in a dozy state. Too long with your finger resting on the button and you loose your settings. Setting the radio to turn off, in say 30 minutes, requires being upright with glasses on and blinking at the bright blue screen as you twist the knob. My ideal bedside radio would be set by touch only - no need to look. It is awkward to plug the earphones in as they are on the back of the radio and hard to locate by feeling. They canot be turned on or off from the front, if your bed mate wants to listen too.
Also it would be handy if it was designed to lie flat with earphones, aerial and instructions accessible, as well as sit upright.
In short, just great technically, but user friendly for bedtime? No! A big disappointment.

I purchased this radio to give portable and easy access to internet radio. It achieved it purpose, with the added advantage of DAB radio when I'm away from a Wi-Fi connection. There's a nice solid feel to both the radio itself and its operation. Connecting to my home Wi-Fi was quite straight forward. Once access to the internet was established, the software required updating; this was simple enough, a matter of a few agreement selections and attachment to mains power (just in case the batteries ran out during the update process). Done!
A small point and not really a moan but.... The batteries required are 'D' type and are perhaps the most expensive to buy as normal or rechargeable, I do wonder if 'C' type, more readily available wouldn't have been better. (No doubt some technical issue)
All in all, an excellent radio with a warm and quite pleasing sound. A little expensive, but I think worth it.
