The Good:

Very good value for money.

Arrived quickly and without damage.

Easy to setup.

Good picture quality.

Good viewing angle.

The Bad:

To change the aspect ratio, you have to go into t.v. menu, but easy to find.

The TV attracts a lot of dust, due to the static.

Overall:

Extremely good T.V. for the price paid. (As could only get a 26" for this price in Guernsey)

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to write the following, but if you use google you can get the unlock code which basically turns this TV into the 50PQ6000 giving you full DIVX playback through the USB port. It also gives you most of the advanced colour tuning features making this the best bang for the buck by far. Also, the DIVX playback off of USB is far better than my PS3, kinda surprised about that.

The good: The colour depth is great, number of inputs are fantastic, and the 600Hz bit doesn't look fake. Next time you're looking at movies playing on multiple LCD/Plasma TV's in the store, look at the ones with the supposed high-end motion correction - they're horrible! Somehow the motion correction effects remove all of the Hollywood magic and make movies look home-made. I bought this TV for watching movies on so that's not cool with me. Last, there has been a lot of talk about plasma's having image retention on them, but I've had no problems. By accident (I'm sure it'll happen to you) I've left a static screen on for a few hours. The worst that happened was I could see faint lines on the next movie/tv show that I watched for ~5 minutes and then it was gone. If the 5 minute image retention after leaving a dvd on all night bugs you, get an LCD.

The bad: Not quite as bright as LCD screens, and only 1 optical audio in port (I'm sure that won't bug most people, but for my use it's a bit of a pain). Last bit, the TV stand isn't the greatest which has me worried when I've got lots of people over. I may have to get a wall mount for her, but it's holding up so far.

 "Poor Delievery" 2009-11-27
By jo blog
Well i never got the chance to review the LG 50PQ3000 50 Inch TV because when it arrived and i unpacked it, the screen was cracked.

I was not very impressed with the delievery of the TV, only 1 man delievered the TV, to my astonishment he dragged a big 50inch TV out the van on his own, on the tv box it said 2 men should of delievered the TV.

Sent the TV back to Amazon, received very fast refund which i was pleased about but very disapointed with courier service, would not order another TV of line after this experience.
