While it worked, this was a fairly good DAB radio with great looks (hence 2 stars). However, after 3 years of light use, it stopped working having lost the ability to amplify the sound from either the speaker or the earphone socket.
Roberts wanted £68 plus outward P&P for a repair, which is a shocking amount to be asked to pay to rectify a manufacturing fault in a supposedly premium product. This radio should have lasted more than 3 years given the original £150 cost.
I wouldn't recommend this product and will be avoiding others from Roberts in the future. If you're going to charge premium prices you should offer premium customer service should things go wrong. The customer service you get from Roberts is as "retro" as this radio looks.

I bought this radio simply as I loved the retro design of the roberts radio but didnt like the gold grating on the coloured versions. This radio is just perfect; very sleek design but maintains its retro feel. Sound quality is excellent and very easy to use. So far, I cant fault it.

Preferred the stainless steel model because I didn't like the gold plated features on the leatherette model. Sampled sound quality in a shop and thought the sound quality was very good. Amazon offered the most competitive price, which for an expensive radio made it easier to part with my money. A radio for life. Looks and feels like a radio. Very stylish. Pause plus button on this model is a absolute bonus. Despite dong some research and reading helpful reviews, correct battery life information was not available on this model prior to purchase, which was disappointing when your looking for a portable radio and a eco friendly option. Battery life detailed as 30hrs. yet to be tested.

I have wanted one of these radios for ages and finally splurged out on this little beauty. It looks divine and sounds just the same. Love the pause button function that enables you to stop live radio if you get interrupted and then go back to where you left off. Fantastic!
