Excellent lens for money paid, this lens arrived in great condition and in full working order with no marks or imperfections to the glass. I bought this lens as an upgrade to the standard 18-55mm lens on my Canon 450d and I have been very pleased with it so far. The autofocus is accurate and the pictures are noticably a lot clearer than the canon kit lens. The autofocus is slightly noisy in comparission to the kit lens but as it is not used for wildlife photography this isnt really an issue that would put you off buying it.

I bought this for my girlfriend to replace her aweful old canon pre digital slr lens, so to be honest anything is an improvement! I use nikon and its the first time I have actually taken an interest in her camera as a result!. Seems to handle low light situations very well with the OS and 2.8 aperture. Colour rendition and sharpness seem very good too, and i particularly like that the lens does not extend, so avoids lens creep - a problem with many sigma lenses. Its lightweight too, with a slightly plasticy body, but this is no complaint, it feel robust.
