Bought this for my wife for Xmas and very pleased with it. Sounds fine in normal use and good for the price with the speakers able to be positioned away from the main unit. It includes an IPOD Dock, a solid remote control, a CD player and a DAB radio in a sleek and compact package. Each of these are well implemented and fairly basic but it is a great combination for the price and fine for use in the Kitchen or as a secondary system. The reception on the DAB radio in perticular is dependant on the positioning of the wire aerial and there is a second wire aerial for FM reception with a plastic coil aerial for AM reception. These can look a bit messy unless some thought goes into positioning and their is always a compromise with asthetics against signal strength. All in all a quality unit and good value for the price paid.

Sound lacks bass and treble. This is after trying all the equalizer settings.
I connected the sound output to a pair of creative z-10 speakers (with own amplifier) to bypass the supplied speakers. The sound was then very good. So the supplied speakers and internal amplifier are of poor quality in my opinion.

I spent about 3 months reading reviews and driving around retailers to test out similiar products and eventually decided on this one! It has everything I wanted in a micro system, with added bonus of Ipod docking, it looks and sounds great. Only one slight niggle with it is that it keeps losing DAB reception ? could be the area I am in as mobile signal is weak in my house too. All in all the best on the market for its price.

Typical Sony quality and sleek user friendly design.
Only problem is the ipod doesn't work in the slot straight away and needs some kind of adaptor-fitting?
Good sound quality and looks good.
radio aerials are a bit scraggly though.

i brought this docking station for my ten year old this christmas, she already has the ipod nano and this works brilliantly with the docking station. good neat unit, nice sound excellent for my daughters needs and her double sized bedroom. the DAB radio is very good tunes in easily and i never realised that there were so many different stations! if your looking for a docking station i would recommend this one!
