"Dreadful tinny audio I'm afraid" 2009-12-03
By T. HAMILTON (UK)
The TV looks the part but the sound is hollow and tinny, it in fact sounds as if they are useing string and tin cans. I really wish I had not bought it as I will have to find speakers to improve the sound quality. There is a graphic equaliser but it only varies the hollow tinnyness. In my opinion don't buy one, try Toshiba which is a better set for about the same money.

 "LG 19LG3000" 2009-09-17
By John Kerr (North Yorks)
I bought this TV on the reviews I read and I have not been disappointed. The TV is well made, easy to tune and has a reasonably well laid out remote. The quality of the picture is excellent as is the sound, especially considering I am having to use a portable aerial at present. What more can I say other than I would recommend this TV.

 "Slow remote" 2009-09-02

TV is ok, sometimes the audio gets a bit out of sync, but most annoyingly the remote takes forever to respond, with the result that you often find yourself going to channel 11 instead of 1 etc.

"Cannot Possibly Recommend this Set" 2009-06-25
By C. K. Law (Somerset, United Kingdom)
Received this set a few weeks ago, and experienced, for the first time, the 'lip-sync' problem. I have two set-top boxes and a HD recorder with Freeview, and none of these have the problem, but with the 19LG3000 I found it simply unwatchable. The sound was so far in advance of the picture that it was painful. I Googled for similar reviews and found a chap in the US complainig of the same problem. I contacted LG who said it must be a fault with the individual unit, but a problem such as this is, to my mind, a function of the design and not an isolated problem.

I have since (today) received a replacement in the form of the 19LH2000, and this set does not appear to have the problem; but early days. The 2000 is a newer, 16:9 format, so arguably a better buy, although it has a lower contrast ratio and packs fewer pixels into its 19 inches. Nevertheless, if you are remotely tempted by the 3000 I would say keep you money in your wallet, or put it into something like the 2000.

 "Moving to Digital" 2009-06-19
By Laurence Seabrook (Devon UK)
With TV's in most rooms we now have to move to digital, changeover August this year. The LG is a nice size for bedrooms and kitchen and has a good picture. We tend to stay with what we know and have purchased LG 19" digital tv's before. Only niggle with this latest 19L3000 the guide button has changed, it now moves to the actual programme each click where previously it was possible to review all the guide and only moved to selected programme when using the OK button. But a neat TV nontheless
