As mentioned by other reviewers, the range of available stations is severly limited, i.e. 9 in my case. I have two other digital radios that can receive dozens of stations, this one, with it's silly little wire ariel, is a waste of money. I have given it two stars as, other than the limitation of the reception, it has good functionality.

Nice compact clock radio. The sound quality is fine, seems easy to use and don't find the display too bright. the only thing I don't like about it is if you have the radio alarm the radio gets louder and louder until you turn it off. Our old radio alarm had a constant volume which was much nicer, but then if you are a heavy sleeper I guess it is good.

I have to this Roberts Dreamtime DAB/FM Digital Clock Radio a 5Star! It is a great buy
The previous comments I read before buying I have to say are COMPLETELY WRONG! There is a great dimming function so when you sleep it doesnt disturb you. It was very easy to set up. When you set the alarm you need the radio on but I dont think that is a problem. It is a great radio and alarm clock. Small and compact, great sound.
I would hugely recommend it.

The old analogue alarm clock radio had to go... the off button had taken on an intermittent refusal to work and the aerial had fallen off requiring the device to be strategically placed to pick up radio four of a morning as opposed to a static hail. So, DAB wake up call it had to be.
I went for this model because its neat, not over the top, and a fair price. And for my use, its mostly good news. Picks up all stations avaiable, sounds good, not too obtrusive. Adjustable light so it doesn't blind you while you try to sleep. Clear display, and two seperate alarms which can be set for every day, every weekday, or weekends, or one off - which is very good.
However, should you be someone who regularly alters the alarm time I wouldn't recommend this as the process is a little long winded, requiring the radio to be turned on while the alarm is re-set and takes me two or three minutes. A minor quibble, but I think that the interfaxce could have been a lot nicer.
And second, most important of all; it hums.
I think all DAB devices do this to an extent. But for something which sits near your head in a quiet room while you try to get to sleep, they may have wanted to think this through a bit more. Everybody is differnt, I know. But, with it on my wooden bedside table, I couldn't sleep. However, having put in on a carpeted floor just under my bed, I sleep fine and can't hear it.
So, if a ticking clock drives you up the wall, avoid this or put it on the other side of the room from where you sleep.

I have found the radio to be just about what I had expected. Unlike some other reviewers, I found it easy enough to set up. It is just a matter of following the instructions. It is a well-made unit and the sound is very good - considering the size of the speaker. (One can not expect hi-fi sound from a speaker that appears to be about 2 inches in diameter.) I would agree, however, that the dimmer for the display is not good enough. If the clock is on a level with your eyes when you are lying in bed you have to switch off the display completely in order to avoid being kept awake. The dimmer needs one more even lower setting. Otherwise I am happy to recommend the Dreamtime Radio.
