"good tv for the price" 2010-05-22

ordered this 50" panni but did not arrive in time stated as there was a mix up, the supplier likes to confirm that you will actually be in on the day of delivery so tries to get in touch, but i have no land line and the messages they were sending to my mobile just didn't work, anyway i got in touch directly with supplier after the deadline for delivery and sorted it out.the picture is good especially in full HD ie freesat or PS3 but the sound not so.i couldn't manage to get the balance right between peoples voices, music and sound effects forever switching volume up and down with the remote also there is no optical out for sound but has phono plug output to run through an external amp but overall still worth the money as it replaces a samsung 40" LCD which cost nearly twice as much.

"no fuss beautiful big screen" 2010-04-18
By G. Mcadam (Edinburgh)
Okay. Bought this for mum after her 32" Sharp started its death throws (not a dig at Sharp BTW - mums was an old model. They make fine TVs and I am more than happy with my 37" 1080p Sharpy).

With her failing eyesight, its no surprise that she loves the size of the Panny screen (after initially being utterly overwhelmed by it - amazing how quickly one can become used to a relative wall of plasma!) and best of all, the remote is simply laid out with big clear buttons. It could be made far simpler, as could the onscreen UI, but I give kudos points to Panny for building a remote that my 70 year old mother can fathom!

Havent tried it with any HD sources yet (except for the awesome upscaling Toshiba DVD player I bought mum couple years back) but if your old dears are like mine and fail to see any difference between NTSC laserdisc and 1080p bluray, its not going to be a problem anyway :)

At this price, and if you are happy with 720p HD over 1080, its a steal. I mean I actually feel guilty.

A work of art at the price. Highly HIGHLY recommended.

"I love my new TV" 2010-01-09
By H. Gavurin (Stanmore, Middx.)
Having carried out some research, I decided that I wanted a Panasonic, Plasma, Widescreen TV to stand on my new modular unit. Having looked through Amazon's many models of Panasonic TVs, I fixed on a 50" model at a very good price. This was delivered just before Christmas and I am delighted with the quality of picture. I feel that I am sitting in my private cinema.

 "WOW!" 2009-12-22
By Debs (Somerset)
This tv in my opinion is great value for money. I bought through amazon like with everything else, checked the reviews and WOW! It's amazing, the picture quality is second to none, it's not too heavy!! and would I recommend it, yes! I went out to comet and currys to have a look at some televisions first and frankly was blown away by what's on the market. This telly is £799 thru currys and a lot more expensive thru many other retailers. It took a few minutes to set itself up and away you go. I would definitely recommend it and am looking forward to watching some great movies over xmas.

 "Hell yea" 2009-10-01

got this TV, as well as a 42" panny TH42PX70 and an lg 26LB75, despite this being the biggest screen and like the rest only hd ready don't be fooled. This is much better than LG models I have viewed in person LG50PS3000 and LG50PG6000. You cannot beat this television. Brilliant vibrancy to colors and edge definition is second only to £1000+ models. SD is great but if your viewing blu-ray, you get the picture of full hd quality it is absolutely fantastic. I brought this one from Dixon's however for £599.99!!YOU CANNOT GO WRONG!!
