I bought this at the same time as I bought a DAB radio (discount when bought together)

I'm very pleased with my purchase as it also saved me having to go out to buy rechargeable batteries and a battery charger for them too.

Once it's fitted, you don't need to remove it at all, as the chargePAK charges itself automatically when you plug the radio in to the mains socket.

Although expnsive as an original charge pak, the battery seems to work well. Have charged it a couple of times now and actual radio usage has increased as expected. The only gripe I have is to do with the radio itself; there is very little warning the battery is about to run out, it dies shortly after the battery indicator drops a bar or two. This may be down to me owning an older Pure One radio but seems strange when compared to a lot of other rechargable devices I have which give a much better warning. Anyway, apart from this (hence 4 stars) well worth the money.

This is an excellent product. Easy to install (although requires a bit of care with the small plug connection) and works straight out of the box. This is much more economical that buying batteries - especially if you want to use the 'line in' fuction to play an mp3/ipod through it, which is a real power drainer. I just don't know why (other than the endless desire to make more money) that Pure don't just have these units pre-installed. I'd even pay a little more for the radio. In short, excellent product, good value, just a shame you have to fork out more cash on top of the price of the radio itself.
