What an amazing DAB Radion. Bought as a factory 2nd but there is no way to tell it from new. At a 1/4 of new price a brilliant deal. Great stereo sound and very easy to set up with no problems at all.

Have owned an identical radio for a couple of years and it is excellent. Bought this one for a different room and it's equally good. This one is apparently refurbished but as good as new and very well priced. Would certainly buy another. Excellent sound quality and easy to use. I believe it's been replaced by newer model but still perfectly OK. Recommended.

This is an awsome piece of tech. Excellent DAB reception with brilliant sound quality even when you crank it up. I also use the 3.5mm jack on the back to connect my Ipod and it works like a hifi. We even had a party and used it as the sound system. Strongly recommend.

I bought this item to replace my bedside Pure Evoke 1S which I had damaged by my own carelessness. When it arrived there was something wrong with the software. It was a factory refurbishment but, nevertheless, it should have been properly checked before dispatch. Pure arranged collection and replacement within a reasonable time but I could have done without the hassle.
My main problem with the 1S was that it would not accommodate an external source such as an iPod The 2XT serves this purpose well.
I think that most people would find this model too big as a bedside radio but I am content with it. The sound is good and will fill the room if necessary. I have seen no necessity to try the FM band to any extent, or the alarm at all. [The joys of retirement!]
The worst aspect of the 2XT is the display. When DAB is playing, the small display panel is cluttered with the time [twice], the date, the name of the station, the signal strength, and stereo and DAB indications. In other modes there is less clutter but the time display is still very small. I need reading glasses so I find this difficult from the bedside. The time display would not be of much use across a room either.
Other Pure models have been criticized for too bright a display. The low level on this one seems just right for me and there is a button to increase the brightness for a few seconds if necessary.
